Exegesis

Blog is what I choose as my central note for Web Communication Assignment. Blogs are basically journals on the internet (“What is a blog,” 2004). Blogger update their blog daily to keep their follower updated. Blogger can choose any theme for their blog and posted according to their own interest. Blogs are also a good way to ensure that information is located in a central place (‘What is a blog,” 2004). Besides that, I also choose facebook, twitter and Google plus as my contribution note in this assignment.

The reason why I choose blog as my central note because blog is an online tools that we used it to communicate about day to day things, and to keep in touch with the people that have same interest with me (Brookover, S, 2007). People that same interest with me will usually follow my post on blog and will give some feedback to me daily. Some of them will share information or experience that they gain on that day by commenting on my blog. Sometimes we will exchange the product information on the blog and also share some makeup experience with people all over the world. Blog provide search engines with a large quantity of incoming links and lots of fresh content (Janis & Joseph, 2005). Blog posts can’t be lost or accidentally deleted (Brookover, S. 2007). Blog is actually a good medium for those who love makeup to share their idea about how they make their face look pretty. I often use blog to introduce the product that I tried before.

Besides that, blogging is the people’s internet, offering free, easy-to-use programs that allow everyone to have a say about anything (Conover & Daniel, 2005). Anyone who can access to the internet can create their blog for free. They can post anything about their family, daily life, interest, or any product that they like. One of the reasons that I choose to create blogs is because blogging is free of charge and easy to use. This is good for student like me who can share all the makeup information I have online without any payment and can have updated information daily. Because blog is a free online tool, a lot of makeup artist will update their profile daily. I do follow some of the makeup blogger to learn more about the technique of makeup.  This is also one of the reasons why blog are popular in the world.

On the other hand, I choose blog for this assignment is because people blog according to their own interest. The theme, design, font, images and arrangement of the blog can be set up by own self, it is a freestyle information sharing. I believe that creative blog can capture a lot people’s attention, this is also one of the reasons that I choose to use blog to present my makeup info.

I choose to blog my makeup experience and also the product I ever try because makeup is my part time job and also is also something that part of my daily life. By blogging makeup, I can connect with other people who are interested in makeup and also makeup product as there is a lot of link which join all the blogger together. Some creative blogger or famous blogger may get the attention of some marketer after they share or blog certain product because it create word of mouth on the internet. According to one of my blog followers, marketer will give free sample to the blogger to blog about their product. This is also my aim to create a blog.

I choose Pale Gray Antique Sheet Music Background as my template. It a new template designed by someone else online, I download it as my template. I choose this template because I love music and it has music notes as its background. It is easy for me to design my blog by using this template because the middle part of the template is pale white. Besides that, this template can use with the two or three column templates.

In order to create awareness for my blog, I had provide some contribution note like Facebook, Twitter, and Google plus. These entire social media website are able to help me in creating awareness to my blog. I will use this social media website to share my blog so that more people can comment or contribute more information in it. It is also a hyperlink that people in the world manage to search for my blog. Both Facebook and twitter is contribution note that can create a huge word of mouth because nowadays people in the world are crazy about it and almost every day will active in one of the social website I mentioned above. I choose this two social network because I can share some of the picture in my blog in it. I believe that picture can gain more attention than words, therefore it’s easy to capture the attention of the public. 

  

Google plus is the second largest social networking site in the world. It is also an info sharing website as a lot of people are sharing information about everything in their life every day. Google plus is where all the people who share the same interest group together under one topic to discuss or share about the information or experiences they have (Steve K., 2011). Google plus is a social network which I can easily look for the people that have same interest with me as it is categorize by topic. This is also a good place for me to promote my blog and join in to the beauty community.
